Accounting and Payroll Administration

Diploma Program

The Accounting and Payroll Administration Program is designed to provide students with the hands-on training in the key areas of financial accounting and payroll, in addition to the implementation and operation of a computerized accounting system. The successful graduate will have the necessary skills to effectively keep a set of books, both manually and electronically. Upon successful completion of the Accounting & Payroll Diploma program, students will be eligible to apply for Canadian Payroll Association Certification (CPA) to become a CPA member. Students may contact Admissions for further information. Students will focus on the following skills:

Through the combination of Accounting, Payroll and Tax experience, our program will provide a complete understanding of financial statements common to most corporations. Students will also gain experience with accounting software such as Sage and QuickBooks, and explore a number of different Microsoft software components such that they can feel completely at ease in a Canadian corporate environment. As a graduate you leave with knowledge, experience and use of industry tools, and the practical experience offered through the practicum if you choose.

Approved as a vocational program under the Ontario Career Colleges Act, 2005.
